Write raw. Share with people
you trust.
Linden is a journaling app that gives you a quiet space to think without an audience — then lets you choose what to share with the people closest to you. Like letter-writing. Not like social media.
No account required to join the list. Early access invites go out in small batches.
"There's a kind of thinking that only happens when you write without performing."
Most writing apps assume you want to share everything with everyone, instantly. Linden assumes the opposite. Your journal is yours. Sharing is deliberate. Your private space stays private.
When you create a Linden Tree — a named shared space like "My Roommates" or "Our Family" — you invite only the people who belong there. Everyone writes in their own journal. Then chooses what to send into the Tree. Async. No pressure. No algorithm.
How it works
- 01
Write freely in your private journal
Morning pages, 2am spirals, unsorted thoughts. No formatting pressure, no public audience. Just you and the page.
- 02
Create a Tree with the people you trust
Name it. Invite a few people by email. Each person needs a Linden account — and each invite is a quiet promise of reciprocity.
- 03
Share entries on your own terms
Each entry stays private by default. When something feels right to share, you send it into your Tree — or keep it entirely to yourself. Your call, always.
What Linden believes
- Rawness over polish
- The most honest writing is messy. Linden rewards unfiltered expression, not perfect presentation.
- Intimacy over scale
- Real connection belongs in small circles — not in feeds optimised for reach. We are not trying to grow your audience.
- Privacy as a feature
- What you share is always your choice. Safety is never an afterthought here.
- Process over performance
- Be present in the mess of thinking, not only in its tidy summary. The draft matters.
A quiet space for the people who matter.
We're building Linden in the open. Join the early access list and we'll share updates as we go — no noise, no newsletters, just honest progress notes.
